Goodwood Festival of Speed

Drone City at Goodwood Festival of Speed: Future Lab – Where Drones, Coding & Esports Collide!

This year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed: Future LabDrone City brought an electrifying hands-on experience to showcase the power of autonomous flight. Attendees had the chance to step into the world of real-world drone technology by coding a drone to fly autonomously from one Red Cross to another, simulating the life-saving work of medical delivery drones. This interactive challenge gave participants a sneak peek into our Drone City coding workshops, which we bring to schools and camps to inspire the next generation of drone pilots and engineers.

But that wasn’t all! Our co-founder, Will Arinze, wowed the crowds with high-speed drone races, taking on none other than the legendary Wacky Racers and even a Red Arrow in thrilling matchups that had audiences on the edge of their seats.

As we look ahead, we can’t wait to explore the intersection of Drone City and esports in the coming year. With drones becoming a competitive sport, the future of STEM education is looking faster, more exciting, and more immersive than ever.

Thank you to Goodwood Festival of Speed for an unforgettable event—see you next year! 🚁🏁🔥
